SSC is located in close proximity to Sembawang and Yishun MRT train stations.

Closed for redevelopment from 2007, SSC opened in 22 December 2008 to welcome the residents with its one-stop family-oriented necessity shopping. The mall houses four retail floors, comprising one basement level and three above ground levels, and three floors for car parking facility. On Level Three, a rooftop “Splash Park” was constructed as a designated water play area with interactive features to provide entertainment and amusement for children.

The new SSC has anchor tenants like Giant Hypermarket, Daiso, Challenger and Kopitiam taking the lead. Other key specialty tenants include Popular Bookstore, Astons Specialities, Ajisen, Le Grenier à Pain and Prosperous Kitchen. To complete its selection, the mall also houses a chain of popular brands like Esprit Outlet, The Body Shop, Starbucks Coffee, Fish & Co, World of Sports, MOF, New York New York and Jean Yip.
